+ THE MONITORS (DJ Set)

Death By Audio, bringing live music to Bloomsbury with a dose of humour and post ironic posturing. This weeks bill sees two more fabulous bands taking to the new Bloomsbury stage to blast out some awesome tunage:
MOSCOW YOUTH CULT
Emerging from the backwaters of the industrial parks, art schools and knitting factories of the East Midlands, Moscow Youth Cult draw their inspiration from the riches of electronica and the grainy, insalubrious aesthetic of obscure Sci-Fi and Horror videos of the last 30 years.
Drawing comparisons with the likes of Telefon Tel Aviv, Fuck Buttons and Boards of Canada, Moscow Youth Cult’s live shows use re-edited clips from choice B-movies, beamed from a magic retro television, to evoke both fear and euphoria amid sweaty, analogue workouts and pounding, digital ecstasy.

PANDAS N PEOPLE
Pandas and People are a 4 piece formed in the small town of Redditch in the Midlands. As there is not much to do in Redditch they like to spend all their time writing and producing music together that blends ideas from many different genres and artists into something recognisably familiar yet progressive and unique. They have recently recorded their debut album in Liverpool's Sandhills Studios with the help of producer and friend Al Groves that promises to be a diverse collection of songs that draw upon elements of Funk, Soul and electronica tied together with indie guitar hooks and vocal melodies and harmonies.

Add to this the DJing talents of our faves THE MONITORS and all in all I think we will have a splendid old night!
