Event information

THE LAST DINOSAUR are two friends (Jamie Cameron and Luke Hayden with Rachel Lanskey on viola) who stay up very late and make beautiful music, playing all the instruments themselves and letting their imaginations run wild.
"Listening to The Last Dinosaur is like reverting to a far away childhood, full of innocence and soft-light pictures that cling to the memories of safety and comfort."

OPAQUE NATURE
Leamington Spa (UK) based band with influences including Bon Iver, Stars, Mumford & Sons, Grizzly Bear, Fleet Foxes, Efterklang, Beach House (definitely check all these out). Opaque nature was born next to a lake on Warwick University Campus many years ago, but have recently come of age, having actually done some recording and gigging.

DAVE GERARD and James Frid play a host of Folk/Acoustic tracks, twisting various instruments (Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin Percussion), guitar tunings and vocal melodies together to make a rich and unique sound. Gerard and Frid have already usurped the 'standard' folk formula and carved out a sound that is unique, emotive and genuinely exciting.
Influences - Nick Drake, John Martyn, Scott Matthews, Neil Young, Fairport Convention, Laura Veirs, Kings of Convinience, Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn, Seasick Steve, Cat Stevens, Noah and the Whale, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, James Taylor
