WagonWheel Presents... welcomes Amanda Shires back to Sheffield for her first UK headline tour. Having previously appeared alongside Rod Picott when supporting their duo album "Sew Your Heart With Wires", Amanda returns to promote new album "Carrying Lightning" (co-produced with Rod Picott and David Henry).
"Shires is a damn talented and idiosyncratic song-writer. She is a fiddling maestro. At times her energetic, jittery vocals and eccentric lyrical subjects mark her out as a young female heir to the godfather of strange, Mr. Tom Waits.
