Star Scream make for subtly goffick sleaze rocknroll with prowling goodtime vibe and hissy vocal over split splat drums driven along by great work from the female bassist- they have a neat look and do it well in a Terrorvision meets Jet via Muse at their poppermost manner. Great n good.
Los Pelos Rizos -Five piece containing guitar, violin, trumpet and percussion. Doing mariachi, gypsy folk (sorta) with a slight east european flavour, do a nice laid back louche version of stray cat strut.. Astrosalad- Godfathers meets something more low slung and modernly louche such as Special Needs- attitude to the fore blistering punk n roll.
LC- Melodic piano and guitar driven indie...Doves, Embrace, Elbow... beauteous.
