The Turkish ensemble KONSTRUKT was founded in 2008 to play and record improvised music and have already recorded and performed with Peter Brötzmann, Marshall Allen (SUN RA ARKESTRA), Bik Bent Braam, Evan Parker, Alfred 23 Harth, Dave Bryant and Jürg Solothurnmann.
KORHAN FUTACI / saxophones, voice
Korhan Futacı is a saxophone player, singer, songwriter and producer from İstanbul. He has been the head and a member of several bands and projects including Tamburada, Dandadadan, Kujo, Konstrukt, Kara Orkestra as well as many other contributions.
UMUT ÇAGLAR / guitar, guitar synth, electronics
Umut Caglar is an active member of konstruKt and Dead Country and he joins frequently with the improvisers from istanbul for different projects.
He founded the label re:konstruKt in 2008 which focuses on the improvised music scene in Istanbul and already managed to release over 45 releases so far.
ÖZÜN USTA / percussion, drums, vibraphone
Ozun Usta, born 27 December 1977 in İstanbul, plays various musical instruments. He plays with Korhan Futaci & Kara Orkestra, Dinamik, Konstrukt, Murat Taner, Cem Tan, Bir Gecelik Ask, Selim Saracoglu and he plays alone.
KORHAN ARGÜDEN / drums
Korhan Arguden has been an avant-garde/free jazz admirer since mid 70s, which eventually led him to take part as a drummer in the improvised music scene after mid 80s. Currently he is a member of the improvised music band KonstruKt and also takes part in other improvisation projects.
