Regarded by many as the leading clarinet player of his era, by some as the greatest of all time, Evan Christopher turned exile from New Orleans at the hands of Katrina, into an opportunity to find new music and make new connections. The result has been a debut album that made The Sunday Times top 100 albums of the year, and a follow up that was crowned as jazz album of the year by the same journal in 2011. Mixing up the spirit of New Orleans with the heart of gypsy swing has produced some truly exotic and evocative music that has won fans all over the world.
