Red Balloon Music is proud to present the fourth in our monthly series of music nights - Are We Strangers Now? presents... Charlotte O'Connor.
CHARLOTTE O'CONNOR is a charismatic 20-year-old singer songwriter from Blackburn. With her carefully crafted songs (a mix of acoustic folk and soul), and her mesmerising soulful voice, she has been charming her audiences across the globe.
Four years in the making, Charlotte’s debut album ‘For Kenny’ is set for a March 26th 2012 release in conjunction with Drop In Music (Quiksilver records).
‘For Kenny’ includes some of the early songs written in her bedroom, as well as more recent collaborations with writers such as Sacha Skarbek (Adele, Jason Mraz, Duffy) and James Bryan (Nelly Furtado). The album will follow up the single Shine On, released this January and was produced by Mario Caldato Junior (Beastie Boys, Jack Johnson).
With a presence on stage powerful beyond her years and having already supported the likes of Newton Faulkner, James Morrison, The Script and Lissie, she is already a firm favourite with the likes of Radio Two and MTV, and 2012 is already shaping up to be the year when Charlotte O'Connor is catapulted into the spotlight once again.

CARRIE PENTY MASON is a 26-year-old folk musician from the Forest of Dean, living in Manchester.
She began playing the violin and performing at a young age and having taught herself to play guitar in her early teens, established herself as a folk-loving singer-songwriter by her early 20’s.
Since then she has toured the UK extensively, and appeared at many local and national music festivals.
LITTLE SPARROW - also known as Katie Ware, has played in various bands in and around the south of England before upping sticks and moving to Manchester where she joined the remnants of rock band Marion.
The turn of the millennia saw Katie go it alone and support the likes of Stephen Fretwell, Badly Drawn Boy, The Zutons and the great Chip Taylor.
Having taken a little time out, 2010 saw Katie spread her wings and return as ‘Little Sparrow’, with a mix of acoustic folk and an abundance of harmonies!
