The Musical Comedy Awards is back! Now in it's fourth year, the MCA has grown in stature to become an annual fixture in the comedy calendar and the place to see the UK's finest up and coming musical comedians alongside some of the best established acts of the genre on the circuit.
Over the years the MCA has provided a launch pad to superstar acts like Frisky and Mannish (2009 Finalists), Abandoman (2010 winners) and Jay Foreman (Best Newcomer 2009 and now touring with Dave Gorman) and created a thriving independent platform to celebrate the artform that is musical comedy. The competition has also played host to stars of the genre such as David O' Doherty, Mitch Benn, Bo Burnham, Pippa Evans, Isy Suttie and many more.
SEMI-FINAL TWO!
Having battled their way through the first round and Quarter-Finals, the 12 best up and coming musical comedy acts in the UK are now just one performance away from the Final. Competing in the second Semi-Final are the following acts (in no particular order):

Rob Carter
Hannah Brackenbury
Darren Walsh
Rachel Parris
Fair & Square
The audience and judges will vote for two acts to progress automatically through to the Final on April 7th at the Bloomsbury Theatre. Two acts will also progress automatically from the first Semi-Final on March 17th. The final fifth place for the Final will be awarded to the act with the most judge and audience votes who didn't progress automatically from the Semi-Finals.
The show will be hosted by Horse and Louis (2010 MCA Runners Up) and headlined by the amazing Amateur Transplants ("This made me very, very happy" Stephen Fry)
