Midsummer Night Screen are returning to Dalston Roof Park this May, bringing together film and music in another summer of al fresco rooftop events.

Our second screening of the series will be Empire Records, straight from the 1990s! We're kicking off the party with our very own rooftop record fair, in association with local record labels.

Dig out your grunge-era plaid and oversized shirts and come record shopping while we serenade you with alt-rock and pop hits from the film's classic 90s soundtrack.

Food and drink will be available to buy as per usual, provided by The Long Table and Background Bars.

Empire Records is going to be turned into a corporate chain, and it’s up to the wacky employees to figure out a way to raise enough money to keep the store from changing hands.

This 1990s comedy about an eventful day in the lives of the store’s young slackers and dreamers has become a cult favourite, as they deal with love, life, and a has-been spoiled rock star named Rex Manning.
