The Night Shift is London’s unique classical event, presenting great music in a relaxed contemporary setting.
For this intimate event four musicians from the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment will be joined by a vocalist for an evening of baroque music rooted in London – with the concert including pieces by composers including Henry Purcell, Matthew Locke, John Blow and Thomas Arne. Arne achieved lasting fame of course as the composer of Rule, Britannia!
The event follows on from a hugely successful tour of London pubs by The Night Shift earlier this year, and tonight’s special programme, in a beautiful wooden Spiegeltent, is given as the eyes of the world are upon London and presents some of the very best music to have come out of this great city.
Please note that this is a standing event, with very limited seating. Doors open at 7.30pm, with live sets at 8.30pm and 9.30pm.
Please check your travel arrangements as public transport may be busy due to the games. Nearest National Rail station is Blackheath.
