Event information

Since his untimely death in 1974, the late Nick Drake has grown in stature from unknown Cambridge student to one of the most influential singer-songwriters of the 1960s and 70s.
His albums have sold millions and been name-checked by artists as varied as Norah Jones and REM.

Place To Be is a celebration of his music, on his birthday, featuring some of the best artists on the Cambridge acoustic scene right now. All the musicians will be playing song's from Nick's albums for your listening pleasure.

This will be a truly unique night! We are delighted that everyone involved is giving their services completely free, meaning we can donate 100% of the ticket price to Mind.

The event will take place in the intimate environs of the upstairs gig room at the Boathouse, Chesterton Road, and will be in aid of Mind, the mental health charity (Registered Charity No. 219830).
