MayDay Theatre proudly presents the world premiere of This Is A Reconstruction, a wild night of apocalyptic fantasies and dreams of disaster.

A panel of gods looks down on where the Earth used to be. Robot scientists race to find answers. A woman retraces her steps as a growing chaos surrounds her. Inspired by the 2012 apocalyptic predictions, This Is A Reconstruction explores humanity’s habit of making the end always imminently nigh.

Set against a backdrop of certain disaster, this entertaining and fast-paced performance combines intimate confessionals, surreal dance numbers, deconstructed radio plays and much more. Prepare for a night of chaos and destruction as this exciting new ensemble attempts the impossible task of staging the apocalypse.

MayDay works collaboratively to devise performance and delve into the unknown. This adventurous ensemble creates bold work driven by story and image. MayDay crafts playful performance through incorporating elements of dance, improvisation, foley sound, and storytelling.
