Steven Finn
From the driving rhythm of his National guitar picking to the raw energy of his explosive harp playing Steven Finn has been electrifying audiences across Europe. Steven combines English folk and Delta blues music to provide a backdrop to his songs of protest delivered with Northern edge.
Described as "one of the best young acoustic blues guitar players on two legs", Steven was number 1 in the UK Blues charts in Summer 2010, having had one of his songs selected by legendary John Peel's producer, Louise Kattenhorn, as part of the Storm the Charts campaign.
During his career Steven has performed with Martin Carthy, Rory McLeod, Martin Simpson, the Beautiful South, Martin Stephenson, Watermelon Slim, Dougie MacLeod and Elvis Costello.
Steven played guitar for British harmonica champion Dave Aston and is also an All Ireland champion in the grupai cheoil. In 1999 he recorded an album with Andrew Dinan and John Jo Kelly entitled 'Before The Flood'.
During her 'Fisherman's Woman' world tour Steven played main guitar with Emiliana Torrini before releasing his debut solo album 'Houdini's Blues'. This album was very well received by audiences and critics alike and has led to him playing many theatres and festivals in Germany, Holland, Ireland and the UK.
