Musical Comedy, when done right, are the perfect combination for closing a gig and Silky has forged himself headliner status by being consistently brilliantly entertaining.
'a very, very funny fella ... just brilliant' ( John Bishop)
'One of the nicest comics on the circuit, Silky makes rooms rock. More addictive than Crack' (Leeds Guide)
'Massively engaging guitar-playing stand-up whose instinctive rapport with audiences makes him welcome wherever he goes.' (Guardian Guide Pick of the Week)
After performing in front of the legendary Spike Milligan and receiving the luminous and prestigious title of having 'a great pair of Bristols,' Jen knew that comedy was the way forward. So with the help of two jokes and a push up bra she was on her way... Since that heady day Jen has performed stand up in clubs all over the country, presented on BBC6 Music, had excellent Edinburgh Festival shows ("Brister ticks all the boxes - she's confident, energetic and knows how to deliver a line for maximum laughs" - THE SCOTSMAN), and made the trek to the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
"Outrageously Funny" (Metro)
"Gorgeously talented" (Tim Arthur, Time Out)
John represents the 'new wave of storyteller' (Evening Post) skilfully weaving narrative and punchy gags into his unique, self-effacing style. He's the latest maverick to burst out of Bristol's hotbed of talent and he has stories to tell, banter to have, and bombs to drop. 'Fresh and Original' - BBC 'Funnier than all of them ... his self-depreciation and Olympic ad-libbing would have you skipping happily down even the darkest alley. (Bristol Venue Magazine)
'Like discovering buried treasure' - Fest
JOJO SMITH (compere)
Described as "A manic force, leading where male stand-ups fear to tread" (Sydney Morning Herald) and "The Most Dangerous Woman in Britain"
by the Cape Argus, JoJo's gone from club stand-up to late night TV chat show host to internationally sought-after comic. She is also a cracking good compere - funny, intelligent, terrifyingly honest and extremely entertaining.
"JoJo Smith is a rollicking good stand-up, but she is also so blue she makes Jo Brand look like one of the nuns in The Sound of Music"
