Riff Raff play music written by Dave with some fine lyrics from Brigitte Beraha. Expect sudden twists and turns that can send the music suddenly spinning off in different directions, themes re-emerging in different ways, often quite radically. The music avoids the tune-solos-tune format in favor of more group improvisation and pieces which seek to take the audience on a journey. It draws on as wide a range of styles as possible; folk, electronic music and contemporary classical influences are added to the mix with jazz harmonies and rhythms.
