... back in the 70’s, Stray were one of the hardest gigging and consistently excellent live acts on the circuit. Del Bromham is perhaps a little lesser known than Page, Beck or Clapton, but over the years, many reviewers, including the Encyclopaedia of Popular Music and fellow guitarists have come to acknowledge his rightful place at the highest levels of rock and blues guitar playing. Del founded Stray as far back as 1966, but the intervening years (producing a dozen or so albums) have not only seen Stray’s legendary live performances maintain faith with their earlier material, but also adding plenty of cutting edge new work to their live set list.
Over the years the band has toured with the likes of Ten Years After, Status Quo, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Kiss and Rush. The Stray line up of Robbie Stewart-Mathews (bass & vocals) Karl Randall (drums) and of course led by Del Bromham, are setting a new standard for one of Britain’s most enduring guitar led rock bands.
