The Canterbury Tales

Presented by: in situ: theatre
0CAMBRIDGE: The Leper Chapel
PThursday 27th June, 2013
N8:00pm

Event information

Chaucer's famous cycle of stories - 'rude, funny, romantic, sexual, magical and unforgettably brilliant.'

in situ:'s walkaround production, a revival of our sell-out performances in 2005 and 2006 takes place inside, outside and all around the beautiful and atmospheric Leper Chapel.

Outside: stories from rude Reeves, risque Merchants, romantic Knights, creepy Pardoners and just plain dirty Millers.

Inside: eerie recitations in original Middle English, chants and vocalisations; alchemy; scholarship.

The mysterious inner workings of the medieval psyche.

NB: Performance lasts 90 minutes. No interval.

There are NO TOILETS and NO PARKING at the venue. (There is ample parking on nearby streets).

Stone steps leading down to venue from the street make access difficult for less-abled people, but friendly front-of-house staff are always willing to help.

Call us on 01223 211451 for more details if you're concerned about this.
