Yowzers. What a line-up this is.
Almost two years ago Gemma Whelan performed at the first-ever Always Be Comedy. It was the stuff of legend. The 2011 Christmas Special saw her return for a standing ovation. Now, she's back.
Gemma is now a star of stage and screen, having lit up the West End in One Man, Two Guvnors; she also shone in Game Of Thrones, having clocked up appearances in Gulliver's Travels and The Wolfman.
Support comes from:
Pat Cahill: "This quirky performer has true star quality and bags of originality, mixing physical humour, gimmicks, wordplay and comedy songs. Imagine a cross between Sean Lock and Eddie Izzard and you might be getting somewhere, but nowhere close." - Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard
Ellie Taylor: “Charismatic, personable and bright” – Chortle; “Sparkling and energetic company… the potential to go on to really great things.” – Three Weeks
Joseph Morpurgo: Chortle-nominated, one-fifth of Austentatious
Ahir Shah: “Destined to be one of the brightest stars in the British
Comedy firmament…a frighteningly intelligent gagsmith" - The Scotsman; “Fizzing with intelligence and energy" - Chortle
It's very exciting.
