The concert starts with the Overture to 'The Magic Flute' by Mozart, and the flute theme continues when Yvonne Paterson joins the orchestra for the beautiful Flute Concerto by Reinecke. Before the interval the orchestra will play the wonderfully evocative 'In the Steppes of Central Asia' by Borodin, and the concert finishes with Tchaikowsky’s powerful 4th Symphony, said by some to be his best symphony.
