Diego Carneiro and Eralys Fernandez - Cello and Piano Recital

This concert will be performed by Diego Carneiro (cello) & Eralys Fernandez (piano). Diego comes from Belem in Brazil and Eralys from Havana. They are a vibrant and passionate duo and enjoy playing a mixture of European and Latin American works.

Diego studied the cello in the USA, Switzerland and London. He has been mentored by some of the great cellists of our time - Bernard Greenhouse of the famous Beaux Arts Trio, Maud Tortelier among others. Eralys studied piano in Cuba at the University of Havana and later on at the Royal College of Music. She later followed this by studying harpsichord at Guildhall School of Music. They give performances throughout the UK and in South America. Diego is the Director of the AmazonArt NGO which is bringing musical education to the children of the Amazonian region.

In this concert they are performing sonatas by Debussy, Beethoven and Myaskovsky and the evening is completed with Le Grand Tango by Piazzolla.
