Robin Romei- techy post electro rock with agreeably ugly synth sounds and crashing beats upon which Mr R can project his dropped haitches cockernee vocalizations. So if you wanna hear Billy Bragg fronting Duran Duran as remixed by David Getta here you have it. Dynamic and up for it bigtime.
Escape In Paris- Joy Division meets that noughties band whose name escapes me- Good. Interpol.....haha!!
Last Rush-Alternative pop rock group from N. Ireland that sounds a little like The Killers, and a lot like Fray. Throw some Coldplay in the mix and you're there.
Mel Parsons- Kiwi female singer songer from school of Joni Mitchell and Suzanne Vega with a hint of country. Causing ripples in the biz and you can well see why.
The Naughtys- great new band outta Manc....some RnB twisting, some Credence Clearwater swamp rock, some Arctic Monkeying nuances in the Northern nous of the lead vocal not to mention a little rap delivery...and there is certainly a hint of The Fall's Container Driving Country N Northern...yeah, they even have a song called No Bulbs but they wrote that themselves, natch!
