Legendary reggae producer Prince Fatty rolls into Brixton for the beginning of July with an all-star reggae cast
featuring Hollie Cook, Horseman, Blackbeard himself Dennis Bovell, The Minister of Blaxploitation (AKA
Moody Boyz), Jabbawocky HiFi and of course the mighty Trojan Sound System for a Brixton styley Prince Fatty
Rub a Dub Club!
Get ready for the show because the Prince Fatty experience is going to dub your feet in an up-beat, positive
fashion! All the tracks are mixed live in an analogue haze of vintage spring reverbs and tape echoes on a
custom hi-grade mixing console. The Prince Fatty Sound System will definitely not disappoint the lovers of that
70's sound whilst mixing and moulding these classic riddims with original singers, re-mastered beats and
skanking breaks.
Prince Fatty has dubbed crowds around the world working with some of the best UK and JA artists including
Winston Francis, Little Roy, Dennis Alcapone and Tipper Irie. This July sees the Prince Fatty Sound System
landing in Brixton for the first time with the Rub a Dub Club!
Joining Prince Fatty for the London launch party of the Rub a Dub Club is that institution of British reggae culture, the amazing TROJAN SOUND SYSTEM.
Transcending age, race and political barriers, Trojan Sound System play music that satisfies the purest of vinyl
collectors and at the same time introduce a new generation to the roots of Jamaican music.
Mixing styles and flavours from the past 40 years in order to spread their message of love and unity through the power of Ska, Roots, Dub, Dancehall and UK bass music they have supported legendary Jamaican acts such as; Horrace Andy, Luciano and the late great, Gregory Isaacs to name just a few. We can't wait to see them doing their thing live in Brixton!
