Event information

My Son's Not Rainman - a one man show by Johnny Williams. Directed by Anna Crilly.
John is a forty one year old comedian and single dad.
The Boy is ten years old and autistic. He isn't a genius. His only special power is making his dad laugh. A lot.
This is their story.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________
'My Son's Not Rainman' is the real life story of one man bringing up a child with autism.
This is their tale of magic trains, lego, power rangers, the number 75 bus and life in a chaotic world neither of them will ever really understand.
Funny and tender, ultimately it's just a celebration of what it truly means to be different.

John Williams is a regular on the UK comedy circuit (Laughing Horse New Act of the Year Finalist, Jokers' Joker of the Year).
He trained at Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama until they chucked him out. He is a full-time single dad. This is his first solo show.

Ellie Taylor's been doing stand up comedy since 2010. She likes it.
She’s also done telly stuff since then. She likes that too.
Below are some nice things people have said about her and then a showy-offy list of projects she’s been involved in. She likes these also cos she’s a show off.
Most of all though, she really likes breakfast cereal which isn’t really relevant from a professional point of view, but someone from Kelloggs might read this and send her some Coco Pops so it’s worth a punt.

“Fantastic!” - Kate Copstick
“Charismatic, personable and bright” – Chortle
“Sparkling and energetic company… the potential to go on to really great things.” – Three Weeks
“An ingenious range of material…she finds cause for hilarity in the most prosaic of scenarios.” Broadway Baby
