Hello bakers

After a break in April due to holiday and to tie in with our March breadmaking course, May's baking club sees us back with a bread themed night.

The NQ Baking Club Night is our monthly event where bakers of all ages and abilities get together for a few beers, share recipes and eat lots of lovely cakes. Each month there is a different theme and everyone brings along a cake they have made, together with the recipe used. We then we go round tasting each others delicious creations, chatting about how we made the cakes and sharing recipes and tips. Afterwards the recipes get emailed round to everyone so you can try them out yourself at home.

Some months the theme will be quite strict (eg cheesecake), others you will have a free reign to interpret it widely. All we ask is that you never use the same recipe twice.

There is no kind of competition here, just a friendly group of people getting together to share our mutual love of baking (and eating!) We don't mind however your cake has turned out, just bring it along to share with us- your company and enthusiasm is ten times more important that than quality of any cake!

This month's theme?

- This month's theme is bread. These can be any kind of bread- you are welcome to bring along butter, jams and spreads if you like too.
- If you are struggling finding a recipe, just send us a quick email to nqbakingclub@hotmail.co.uk and we will happily send you a selection of recipes to suit you,whatever your baking ability or budget.

When?

- Secret central location in the Northern Quarter, (disclosed on ticket)
- £3 donation attendance fee (just to cover our basis costs of running the night)

Please bring:

- Your recipe
- A box to take home any leftovers
- A large appetite!
