A former circus clown and fire eater, our troubadour hero has travelled the world with his unique high-energy stomping blues and beautiful self-penned ballads. "I'd roam because I was curious to see what was around the next corner," he says. See him in action and you'll understand why he can't stay still for long.

His stories champion the underdog, the downtrodden and the victims of injustice and they pour from this one-man band in a blaze of guitar and harmonica solos with tap shoes and trombone thrown in.

Unpredictable, unconventional, his sets are a glorious mix of his own work and his interpretations of folk, blues and country classics. An unaccompanied Oh Death might easily be followed by a yodelling Hank Williams number or a blistering version of Jerry Reed's Guitar Man.
