Day 2 of The Neath Comedy Festival 2013 features Malawian born comedian DALISO CHAPONDA's epic one-man show LAUGHRICA.
After having featured on Canadian, Australian and UK TV, performed at the Edinburgh, Montreal and Melbourne Festivals to critical acclaim Daliso grew frustrated with the fact that he was better known outside Africa than in Africa so he began a tour called 'Laughrica'. He launched this one man show in Lilongwe, Malawi and followed it up with appearances in Zimbabwe's Hifa Festival and in 'Stand Up Africa' in Johannesburg. In 2012, 'Stand Up Africa' was televised and the 'Laughrica' project continued appearances in Kenya, Nigeria and Namibia.
This year he brings this hilarious show to the UK and to The Neath Comedy Festival. Corruption, tribalism, colonialism, HIV epidemics, absolute dictatorships, ivory smuggling, witch doctors... Daliso’s latest show covers all these and more subjects.
