Live Artists Presents...
Binary 'Amber' EP Launch Party
The ‘Amber EP’ and signals a fearless young band honing their sound and showing an exciting glimpse into the musical journey that lies ahead.
Binary (Live)
http://www.thisisbinary.com
In 2011, the London quartet Binary started gaining some attention in the UK with their industrial goth-infected alternative rock tracks like “Prisoner” and “Modern Man” (produced by Sean Beavan, Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails producer). A support slot for Marilyn Manson in Paris followed as well as big gigs at Koko for NME and the Garage as they headlined The Fly’s ones to watch 2013 show. Binary are now set to release their debut EP, Amber, available as a free download on April 23 and 10” vinyl on May 13.
Moats (Live)
http://moatsmoatsmoats.tumblr.com
Indie-angst-pop from Moats whose tempo changes would have to be counted on some sort of giant abacus. Dense vocals cut through the air with the lyrics hanging damp over heads.
Dactyls (Live)
http://dactyls.co.uk
Dactyls are an absolute beast of a band. Fusing elements of garage, psych and acid rock into machine-tight arrangements, the London three-piece create a massive sound full of brutal precision. Expect tales of sex and violence crooned over feral guitars and gonzo drumming whilst distorted Hammond organ lines come on like the sound of some demented fairground waltzer.
We The Dead (Live)
www.wethedead.com
We The Dead have gained airplay numerous times on John Kennedy's XFM Exposure radio show and their first UK tour in July saw them play a string of sell-out shows in small venues across the North of England. Aside from their live performances, they have also been featured in worldwide publications such as Doze (LA), Clash Magazine (UK), Canadian TV streams and were featured in NME Magazines' buzz section in November 2012. The band were also invited to play a live audience broadcast session for Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music in March 2013.
There are 50 Early Bird tickets available at the special price of £5 which includes a free copy of 'Modern Man' on 7" vinyl and a limited edition zine which contains a sweet pullout poster (collect both at the gig). Normal tickets are £6 adv or £8 on the door.
You can also pick up a copy of Binary's latest single G.O.D on 7" at the gig.
