Celebrate summer with settings of sonnets and songs by William Shakespeare. Jazz pianist George Shearing was the focus for John Rutter’s Birthday Madrigals and Shearing himself had composed settings of Shakespeare for Jazz piano and double bass. We bring the two together in one programme and include settings by Vaughan Williams and others.
