Robert’s solo piano albums Equinox (2007) and The Glimpse (2013), have both had a profound effect on his approach to making music. The Glimpse showcases his developing fascination with left-hand only approaches to composition and improvisation, which he'll be exploring this evening.
Robert will be leading a special workshop beforehand on the history of left hand only piano playing (at 3.30pm), limited discounted tickets for both are available.
Robert Mitchell is an award winning pianist, composer, curator, and teacher, He has released eight albums in solo, duo, trio, and with his band Panacea - in quartet to octet formats. Robert has always regularly performed solo as it is at the heart and origins of his approach. Panacea recently completed a residency at Southampton University.
