Following Robert's Leftitude Festival in March at the Forge, join one of the UK's leading pianists for a masterclass in left handed playing. Robert has long searched for a way to present music that celebrates left hand only piano playing - he's spent much time researching its history & experimenting with left handed compositions. Come along and listen to his findings, or join in if you're a pianist.

Robert’s solo piano albums Equinox (2007) and The Glimpse (2013), have both had a profound effect on his approach to making music. The Glimpse showcases his developing fascination with left-hand only approaches to composition and improvisation, which he'll be exploring this evening.

Robert Mitchell is an award winning pianist, composer, curator, and teacher, He has released eight albums in solo, duo, trio, and with his band Panacea - in quartet to octet formats. Robert has always regularly performed solo as it is at the heart and origins of his approach. Panacea recently completed a residency at Southampton University.
