Our January programme features again the wonderful Swiss-Italian soloist, Melina Mandozzi, who last performed with the FSO in 2009 and who leads Andrew Litton’s orchestra in Bergen. Having studied for some time alongside Maxim Vengerov, both their styles have clearly influenced each other. Her rendering of Sibelius' darkly passionate violin concerto is a prospect to be relished.
