TALONS
Talons are a 6-piece instrumental band who call the backwater town of Hereford their home. They formed in 2008, altering the line up from an older band, Kites, and recruiting two violinists.
Forging explosive energy, delicate subtleties and fractured song structures, Talons possess a fascinating sense of urgency and drive, with a sound that both soothes and savages in equal measure.
Talons are not a post-rock band, nor are they a math rock band. Talons, are Talons. The six-piece are best experienced in a live environment, where the visceral, raw energy of their music can be fully appreciated.
Signed to UK independent label Big Scary Monsters, debut single 'The Pearl' was released in August 2009, followed by a series of limited edition split singles. An anthology containing all works by the band, entitled 'Commemorations' was released in September 2010.
In November 2010, Talons further consolidated their place amongst their peers following the release of their debut album, 'Hollow Realm'. The album received widespread praise in the press, released in the UK and Europe on CD and in the USA on 12" Vinyl.

MASTS
Masts are a 4 piece punk/post-hardcore band from Cardiff. South Wales' burgeoning post-hardcore scene has produced another killer of a band in the shape of Masts, who namecheck At The Drive-In and Fugazi among their many influences.
These Cardiff locals have assembled an EP of energetic and accomplished post hardcore in the vein of late 90s group Kid Kilowatt, and their criminally underrated Guitar Method album. This means musical dexterity, soul-searching lyrics and a dynamic and considered approach to melody without entering the realm of blandness.
Under 'Band Interests' on their Facebook page they have 'Bringing da muthafuckin ruckus since 2010'.

WICKET
Wicket are a 3 piece post-rock/instrumental band from Cardiff. Drawing on sounds that liken to that of This Will Destroy You, Sigur Ros and Mogwai, the band incorporate triggered visuals that envelop their live show.
They have recently released a single entitled 'Know Your Roots' which received praise from BBC Radio Wales' Adam Walton and have announced a slot at Cardiff's SWN Festival this October.
