FOLKLORE & ONE FLASH PRESENT:

Nadine Khouri is a singer-songwriter currently based in London. Described as a "music born of perennial outsider-status" her last release 'A Song to the City' unfolds as a series of poetic confessionals set to lush soundscapes, showcasing Khouri's sensual voice, as well as her ability to glide from a delicate finger-picked guitar to a raucous wall of sound.
Khouri is currently working on a full-length album. She is joined onstage by long-time collaborator Ruban Byrne on electric guitar & vocals.

"Nadine Khouri has always had the ability to make quietness and subtlety sound huge and mean more than it possibly could." - The 405

Anna Lena is a Norwegian-born artist who creates ethereal songs that are rich in imagery & drenched in moody atmosphere. While she draws influence from artists such as St Vincent, Grizzly Bear & Bjork, her mixture of folk, alternative rock & ambient soundscapes creates a haunting & beautiful sound that is distinctly her own. She is joined onstage by Douglas Dare on keyboards/backing vocals & Kari Jahnsen on backing vocals.

"Anna Lena and her Orchids have managed to craft their very own brand of dark, atmospheric indie-pop, which is somewhere between The National and St. Vincent. 'View of My Sanity' perfectly exemplifies the fragility and beauty of frontwoman Anna Lena and the power of a simple heartfelt pop song." - the 405
