Missed out on a Glasto ticket, or mud just not your thing? Then get yourselves down The Book Club for the best vintage sounds in town, courtesy of The BIG TEN INCH.
Live onstage, The Untouchables are champions of raw blues, basing their sound on the swinging soul of the great artists who recorded for Chess Records in the 50s. With a string bass, a stripped down drum kit, a cranked guitar through a hot valve amp and a wailing harp, this band turns any venue into a rocking juke joint.
On the decks, Trojan Records remixer Count Skylarkin is joined by the ever versatile DJ Wrongtom and the effervescent Greg Belson. Greg flies in from his home in LA with rare r&b records aplenty, while The Count and Tom fill in the gaps with jump blues, swing, ska, cumbia, calypso and old-time dancefloor dynamite.
