Ruckus Collective-A six piece set up with drums, bass, guitar, sax and two vocals....playing a fruity forceful and cheeky chappy hiphop ...has the dynamics of NYC '70S/'80s street sounds, a bit of Last Poets, Joe Quartermain, Gil Scott Heron but via Scroobius Pipsome Brit ska hinted in the brass. Good tunes,Armchair Committee- A hard edged alt rock sound with a nice distorted fuzz blues vibe lifting it out of normal grunge territory. The gravel voiced vocal has something, and when the band let rip it's so much better than the likes of The Black Keys but in similar territory via a bit of old schoolBrit rock (Cream, Faces, Free, Stones)...good.Sienna-Groovy jazzy house with a japanese female vocal over the top, sounds a bit like roni size, stabs of jimmy smith organ and dislocated brass and general ambience. Jack Omer-He plays very nice finger picking acoustic and he sounds a lot like Nick Drake with a hint of Cat Stevens.
