Originally formed with Darryl Way (violin), Francis Monkman (keyboards) and Florian Pilkington-Miksa (drums) and named after a shortened version of a Terry Riley song, Curved Air's eclectic mix of acoustic folk and prog bothered the UK charts in 1970 with debut ‘Air Conditioning’ and ‘Back Street Luv’ – and proceeded to do so for a few years to come.
One of the most pioneering British progressive rock groups of their era the band combined progressive rock, folk rock, and fusion with classical elements and electronic sounds over a series of acclaimed albums.
After the huge success of recent reunions the band are back on the road, more powerful and more relevant than ever.
