Blackbrook Valley Arts presents The Bella Hardy Trio. Bella Hardy is by now well-known to folk audiences for her sublime voice and fiddle, her thoroughly modern and unique take on traditional ballads, and her own talents as a songwriter. Bar with wines and local real ales. Disabled access. Parking at nearby Chinley Community Centre usually available.
BBC Folk Award winner Bella Hardy will take to the road with her festive tour. Bright Morning Star is a glittering collection of festive treats, including her unique take on some traditional Derbyshire carols. She presents folk songs in the best tradition, not as antiquated museum pieces, but as relevant and very human artworks.
For the Bright Morning Star Tour 2012, Bella will be joined by one of
Scotlands leading guitarists Anna Massie (Blazing Fiddles)
and concertina genius Chris Sherburn (Last Nights Fun). On a stage
covered in fairy lights and baubles, the tour has received rave reviews
for the last few years, with SpiralEarth.com writing Christmas is Bellas
season her Christmas songs should be a mandatory start to the
festive season every year.
