Bath's cult cabaret crooners swing their sleigh ride into town to kick-start the festive season as only they can.
Their unusual and uplifting blend of stylish swing is a heady Yuletide tonic flavoured with the spirit of Christmases past, sprinkled with knockabout shennanigans and served warm and smooth.
"A heartwarming evening full of great songs and great banter" says Gloucester Theatre Co.
Expect bon viveur, the finest crooners, the swingiest seven-piece band, glamorous Vixens, can't-sit-down dancing and that warm, twinkly, hearts-all-aglow feeling that only happens at the most wonderful time of the year.
"A treat from start to finish."
“I’ve waited 30 years to see a show like this.”
“The nightclub I've been looking for ever since I saw my first 1940s film.”
"They transformed the place into a late 1950s crooner club and all clearly had a lot of fun."
ABOUT 20th CENTURY FOXES
Delivering a lush vintage-style stage show to the citizens of Bath and beyond since 2010, the Foxes team includes a 7-piece band (drums, bass, piano, guitar, sax, trombone and trumpet) and team of talented vocalists whose seamless mix of solos, duets and group harmonies swing from the smoky nightclubs of 50s New York to 60s Sunset Strip and the stages of W1.
Their regular, themed shows throughout the year serve up a heady blend of Rat Pack-style favourites and lesser-known (sometimes rather left-field) nuggets, all given a proper British twist courtesy of host/vocalist Gavin Lazarus.
Influences extend from Nat King Cole, The Rat Pack, Anthony Newley, Peggy Lee; Louis Prima, Jordan and Armstrong; Phil Harris, Hollywood musicals, Andy Williams, Ella Fitzgerald.
Between them the Foxes team shares over 100 years experience delivering jazz standards, mid-century grooves and tasty toe-tapping jump-jive. With round tables, licensed bar, dance floor and good, clean(ish) fun, this is 20th Century-style entertainment at its best.
