King King: Best Band and Best Album - 2013 British Blues Awards
Championed straight off the block by BBC Radio 2's influential Paul Jones, blues-rock award winners King King already have two classic albums under their belts and a growing international fan base. Comprising Alan Nimmo (vocals/guitar) and Lindsay Coulson (bass) along with their band members Wayne Proctor (drums) and Bob Fridzema (keys), King King hit the ground running with their 2011 debut album 'Take My Hand'. Blues-rock reviewers heaped praise upon them, with Blues Matters noting "When it comes to the high-rolling wave of British blues, they are riding way above the surf." Their follow-up album, 'Standing in The Shadows' was released in 2013, and again, received high praise with Classic Rock Blues magazine hailing it as a "sure-fire hit." The best way to experience King King is of course, live, and there's never been a better time to experience this band's force-ten majesty.

His last blues offering (double album "Porchlight") was Britain's highest selling blues export of the year & his shows are renowned as being hugely emotional, energetic affairs ("The Bruce Springsteen of the blues" - New York Times)..
