Already a well established comedian in his home country Canada, Mike Wilmot started working in the UK as a stand-up comedian in 95 and for over a decade he's built up a reputation as one of the unsung heroes of the UK comedy scene, achieving rave reviews throughout the country for his unique stand-up. In 2003 he won the coveted Barry Award (Comedian’s Favourite Comedian) at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He also has great plaudits and acclaim for his TV work including; Live At The Apollo (BBC1), Rich Hall’s Fishing Show/Cattle Drive (BBC4), appearances on Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2), hosted of Comedy Blue on Paramount plus team captain on Shoot the Messenger (Paramount Comedy Channel). Mike also played Paul Kaye’s manager in the award-winning film It’s All Gone Pete Tong.
TV work: for Channel 4 includes writing and presenting on 'Heavy TV' and several comedy documentaries.
