Notorious villain, child murderer, hated despot.  Richard III was evil, or so Shakespeare told us.  But who was he really?  A dangerous tyrant or a dutiful king? Who was the man found in the car park when all the stories done?
Scrawny Cat Theatre Company's unique, site specific production of Richard III will explore just that. Down amongst the foundations of The Rose, puppets, music and physical theatre will bring history to life and let one of England's most debated figures finally have his say.

The Rose is an indoor archaeological site, it is advisable to dress with an extra layer as there is no heating. There are also no toilets so please use Shakespeare’s Globe just a few hundred meters away.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the production starts to pay for or collect your tickets.
