LA LUZ (Seattle; Hardly Art Records)
Seattle doo wop surf-janglers on their first visit to London following a busy 2013 when they released their debut EP on Burger Records and swiftly backed it up with the "It's Alive" album on Hardly Art.
La Luz's four-girl harmonies are gentle on the ear but the songs have a subtle muscular quality that have made audience members in the US dance, and dance hard!
"Seattle's next great band" - KEXP
" 'Pink Slime' is a deft display of their ability to combine beachy lo-fi with dark girl-group sensibilities, the "noir" being especially emphasized by the eerie-yet-fun organ." - Stereogum
"garage rock nuggets with woozy, sun-kissed harmonies" - Pitchfork
"London-based noise-poppers Parlour are hard to pigeon-hole but easy to fall in love with." - The 405
Abjects are Noemi (guitar/vox), Yuki (bass/vox) and Alice (drums) based in London playing garage / punk / psych. They've released music on Haus of Pins.
