This is Boo’s second visit to Water Yeat; he is a superb singer and songwriter and we’re delighted to welcome him back. Boo’s career began in the mid-eighties when he formed the group “The Bible”. Two of their finest songs, Graceland and Honey Be Good, came tantalisingly close to becoming huge hits (a third, Glorybound, is one of the recordings about which Nick Hornby rhapsodises in his book 31 Songs). Boo now has 7 albums to his name, the most recent being God Bless The Pretty Things. He is an accomplished songwriter and has written songs for Eddi Reader, Natalie Imbruglia, Clive Gregson and Christine Collister amongst many others. His beautiful song “The Patience Of Angels” was a hit for Eddi Reader and the story of how it was written was told in the Radio 4 programme “Lyrical Journey” in February 2013.
