Taught himself guitar from age 14 and was in his first band in High School by 15 and made another 10 bands playing gigs over the north-west with friends. First “real” band was called Deadweight with D.Hill (drums) T.Doherty (bass) and lasted till “i went to live in a tent for six months” (2000). Though all the time playing from 1999 playing acoustic shows and playing with many many friends including (|Drummer) Matt McNicolas who first played with dave at 17 creating lots of music which one day will see the light of day,”Flew to Texas and back for a beer” (2007)Then moved to Manchester with fellow friends J.Fairhurst(guitar) and D.Jones ,J.G Wilson(Guitar), T.Doherty(Bass)made a band called VICTORIAN DAD who all hail from around Wigan(verve/Starsailor/George Formby) and they are constantly gigging around the country and stumbled across a great saxaphone player Alabasster De Plume(Saxaphone)who also moved in the house (Organ/Piano)Fran joined and also T.Yates(mandolin/Uke/Banjo) also joined the circus and there you now have the band
