BIRMINGHAM: Kitchen Garden Cafe

SUN 26TH OCT, 2014 8pm (Doors 7.30pm)

Myths and mystery surround this artist who gained a worldwide cult following thanks to his music providing the back track to the fall of apartheid. Despite living in obscurity and being owed millions on royalties he continues untainted, or as he might put it “hate is too powerful an emotion to waste on someone you really don’t like”.

Based on the documentary Searching for Sugarman, tonight’s presentation will intrigue and inspire novices and die-hard fans alike. Using musical snippets and speculation we pay tribute to a man whose inner strength and character is finally gaining recognition after too many years off the radar.
