Rod Stewart’s fellow guitarist and collaborative songwriter Jim Cregan
from 1977 to the present day celebrates an evening of Rod’s hit songs with very special guest vocalist Ben Mills
“If you can’t afford my tickets go see these guys ..... they’re just as good and half the price !!” Rod Stewart 2011
Thursday’s headliners really took the bull by the horns; Jim Cregan (I can’t believe he is 67!) was up there smiling enjoying himself, smashing out those classic Rod Stewart songs he co-wrote, played on and produced. Heads up goes to Ben Mills on vocals, third place finalist on X-Factor just shows what they know about music, this man is the real deal what a set of lungs! I wasn’t around to see Rod in his hey day (and I am 42!) but this I think is as close as I am going to get! (Cambridge Rock Fest review 2013)
“Together, they soar, that great Rod Stewart sound conjured up by the guys who created it.” Southampton Review

Drummer Harry James is renowned for his work with legendary rock band Thunder as well as drumming with Steve Harley, Jon Lord and Glen Hughes. Other members of the band are bass player Pat Davey (Tom Robinson Band) and pianist Sam Tanner (Alexander O’Neil, Nate James & Duffy).
Ben Mills is an accomplished singer/songwriter in his own right and with this great band he plays a mean guitar too ! He’s having a blast singing Rod Stewart’s back catalogue with the guy who actually wrote the songs ... putting his own stamp on the hits that everyone knows and loves....
"When I talk of goosebumps and tingles down my spine when I hear him sing it's not just a figure of speech, it genuinely happens, and I would quite happily listen to him for hours on end knowing that I would be captivated, totally mesmerised, the entire time.”
“I was once again captured by Ben's voice. Sat with my eyes closed, I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end as I surrendered to the music - for the next two hours, nothing else would matter.”
“The instant Ben started singing the mood was set and all around me people began to sing along and dance in their seats. Ben's vocals are so naturally reminiscent of Rod Stewart's ...... the audience was taken back in time to one of the best musical eras ever ...... he really got into the spirit of it all and the band seemed to be having as much fun up on the stage as we were having in front of it.”
This is a seriously good band who play seriously good music with a very serious feel-good factor to their show!
