Come to the wonderful launch party for the new single from Paul Liddell - 'Giant Steps' at The Watch House, Roker, Sunderland.

As well as being a single launch, The gig will also be filmed by Ont' Sofa, who are excellent music video makers and a record label specialising in quality original music. The videos and songs will later be released by Ont' Sofa as a live EP. You can find out more about Ont' Sofa here: www.ontsofa.com . Come to the show and be part of the recording!

For this gig Paul will be playing with a brand new line up, featuring Piano, Cello, Bass, Drums and Harmony Vocals, plus a few surprises.

Also appearing are Abi Moore and David Ward Maclean.

Abi Moore's prowess lies in crafting effortless, instantly engaging melodies, a gift for the lyrical observation of her own and other people's lives, and a talent for stamping her unique take on universally relevant subjects. Staunchly independent, her D.I.Y approach hasn't stopped her from being noticed commercially, and the success of her first two albums has seen her support artists such as Midge Ure, LAU, Jim Moray and 10CC. "She is, without doubt, a true star. The world just doesn't know it yet." Real Radio

David Ward Maclean has performed with artists such as John Martyn, Jack Bruce, Ralph McTell, Martin Carthy, Jethro Tull, John Otway, John Gomm and Benjamin Francis Leftwich. He is the curator of a stage at Galtres Festival and a writer and performer of great renown around his home town of York. His beautiful album 'The Wreckers' is out now. http://davidwardmaclean.bandcamp.com/

There will be a bar set up for this gig, and for the first time, real ale will be available at The Watch House.
