PRESTON : The Continental

TUE 21ST OCT, 2014 8pm

Our Friends, The Enemy is a four star play combining theatre and spoken word to capture the remarkable story of the Christmas truce from the First World War.

The play is written, performed and co-produced by published poet and exciting new playwright Alex Gwyther. Following sell out runs in Edinburgh and London, this year's First World War Centenary sees the show tour the UK and parts of Europe affected by the Great War.

“The writing by Alex Gwyther, who also performs, is excellent: anecdotes about friendships, sharing and loss; letters and packages from home; the camaraderie between the two sides sharing jokes, playing games all told in vivid language and with imagination”
