"Make room, Roches and Wailin' Jennys, Red Molly has earned a place among the elite female trios." - John Platt, WFUV

Since 2004, Americana trio Red Molly has been bringing audiences to their feet with gorgeous three-part harmonies, crisp musicianship, and their warm, engaging stage presence. The band consists of Laurie MacAllister (bass, banjo), Abbie Gardner (dobro, banjo) and Molly Venter (guitar). They perform original works composed by each of the group members, as well as covers of other songwriters including Hank Williams, Gillian Welch and Ryan Adams. This past year, the ladies were invited to open multiple shows for music legend Willie Nelson and they performed at the venerable Rocky Grass festival. They were also been invited to appear for the third time at NC's legendary music gathering, MerleFest

Their CD "Light in the Sky" spent 20 weeks on the Americana Music Association's Top 40 radio chart and charted as Folk DJ's #3 Top Album of 2012. Throughout 2013, the band spent most of the time on the road touring throughout Australia, and in Europe for the first time. 2014 see them head back to Europe and this time take in their first visit to the UK where they will launch their brand new CD

‘The Red Album’ is the follow up to 2012’s ‘Light In The Sky’ and also their edgiest CD to date, a wildly cool collection of songs produced by Ken Coomer (Wilco). The Americana/Folk trio takes a distinctive shift towards darkness in the new indie collection, while maintaining their signature three-part harmony; gorgeous! With a mix of Americana, Folk, and Country, Red Molly once again displays their harmonizing, singing, writing and musical skills. The Red Album is a delightful listen from the first song to the last.

“Crystalline vocals and beautiful harmonies. Red Molly are red hot.” Daily Telegraph
“Utterly stunning, beguiling à cappella ballads, bluegrass-tinged folk and a touch of jazzy western swing from upstate New York's Red Molly on their debut UK tour. Trademark three-part harmonies, dobro licks and arrangements to make your hair stand on end”.
