This exciting concert presents “chamber versions” of two popular
20th century choral works. In Carmina Burana, Carl Orff features
two pianos and percussion, while Bernstein uses organ, harp and
percussion as the reduced instrumentation for his Chichester Psalms.
Janaček’s Otčenáš, a setting of The Lord’s Prayer for organ and
harp, provides a stimulating prelude.
